Simple 4 ingredient Chocolates
If you have been following along lately on my IG you may or may not have seen my many of posts for these chocolates. I live a fairly healthy lifestyle but I have a huge sweet tooth, give me all the chocolate and I am so happy. However, not all chocolate is created equal and when I eat store bought I usually get an upset stomach with the cane sugar, and just excess sugar over all and anything else that my body does not like so when I can make something myself that legit takes 5 mins to whip up and 10 minutes in the freezer, its a no brainer I’m all in and make it….often. So today I have for you a simple 4 ingredient chocolate recipe for you to enjoy. The star here is the cacao, I wrote all about it here, if you want to know more. I always like to take my recipes to the streets to have those who don’t follow a plant-based lifestyle to get their opinions. Everyone who has tried these chocolates have loved them and and even said they would pay for them, I mean I never thought of myself as a chocolatier but never say never
So you may be thinking what does gut health and chocolate have in common, well let me tell you. Cacao is chalk-full of micronutrients that we need to live a healthy vital life. One of those micronutrients in cacao is zinc which helps with digestive issues. Also cacao decreases inflammation and we all know that an inflamed gut is angry gut. The final important super power of cacao is that it is full in fibre, fibre is important, it helps us stay full longer, stabilizes our blood sugar and helps things to move along smoothly
So if you love chocolate but suffer from bloating, gut disturbances because of all the other things (ahem refined sugar) then give this recipe a go. I got fancy and added some fresh lavender + dried rose petals but you don’t have to and they taste just as good
