Super Greens Pineapple Smoothie Bowl
It’s been almost a month since I have returned from my trip to Bali, which was ahmazing! Still, all I want to eat are smoothie bowls for breakfast. Two of my favourite ingredients that I love to add to my smoothies are: Spinach and Pineapple and here is why.
Benefits of Spinach:
High in Vitamin A
High in Vitamin K
High in fiber
Anti-Inflammatory
Antioxidant
Natural treatment for constipation
Rich in iron and chlorophyll
Benefits of Pineapple:
Contains an enzyme called bromelain that increases digestion
Aids in hydration
Natural treatment for diarrhea
Rich source of Vitamin C
High in fiber
Anti-inflammatory
This is definitely not an exhaustive list of the benefits but my favourite is the Anti-Inflammatory benefits which help with bloating as well.
Ingredients
½ cup of Coconut Milk*
½ cup of Coconut Pineapple Water
2 handfuls of spinach
1 cup of pineapple
Frozen Blueberries (optional)**
Golgi Berries (optional)**
Coconut Flakes (optional)**
Flaxseeds (optional)**
Pumpkin Seeds (optional)**
Instructions
Add all ingredients in the same order as above in Vitamix, or any other high-speed blender and mix.
Add optional garnishes
